Gosh I love this region so much. Being so close to such awesome hiking spots has been great this spring. My friends (my Chinese prof and her husband) and I went to a town 45min outside of Logroño in La Rioja and hiked about 3 miles with almond trees blooming all around us. We weren't the only ones in the area through, cows, horses, and sheep were strolling around the mountain with their bells clanging around their necks. They even came down into the town after we had finished our hike and were relaxing at a cafe/bar. I also got some practice in for Chinese while we hiked and I've decided to prepare for the HSK 3 Mandarin test (equivalent of B1/low intermediate level in reading and writing). In other news, my family came up to Pamplona and we explored the city for a few days and went to a Cirque du Soleil show. We had a cute Airbnb in oldtown and enjoyed eating our way around the city and sight seeing. :) Comments are closed.
