Well, here we are.
A little over a year after my last post and I'm finished with undergrad. I'm leaving with two degrees (Spanish & IS), one minor (French), and a lot of Mandarin Chinese studies under my belt. Woohoo! I owe so much to my family, friends, and professors (and loans) for helping me get this far. I'm so grateful to them all. My plans have changed quite a bit over the last year but I now have a direction. I've decided to be an Auxiliar de conversación in Spain for a year (more on that to come) and get certified to teach ESL with the University of Cambridge's CELTA program. I'm also looking to get to China to keep working on my Mandarin and maybe Lebanon to get started on Arabic. Graduate school will happen eventually-hopefully abroad-but I need to work on livening up the bank account for a few years before I can even think about going back to academia. ;) Well see how it all works out. Here's to my next adventure in Spain! Hasta pronto, Nadia |
