The DELE C1 is done! I went to Pamplona the first week of April to take the exam, where it was rainy and cold the whole trip. We had to have the windows open in the exam center due to Covid restrictions, and we were all wearing our coats xD. I think I did alright, the only areas I might have to worry about would be the writing and possibly the speaking because we had some pretty strange topics in both of those sections. The reading and listening was pretty easy overall though. The results won’t come out until late June so I have a few months of waiting to do, which I will be spending finishing up grad applications and getting my time as a teacher wrapped up.
My last day of class is about a month away, the 28th of May, and that will mark the end of three years of English teaching in primary schools of La Rioja and Basque Country. It’s definitely been an experience and I’ve learned so much. I’m going to miss the kids and teaching in general, but it’s also so exhausting that I won’t mind a break. Hopefully I’ll get a response from a university soon and I’ll be able to begin my visa renewal process and then head down to Alicante to see family. I’d also love to get back to the States this summer if possible, but I want to get my second dose of the vaccine first. AstraZeneca has had some controversy around it and it’s potential side effects, so now they’ve told everyone that received the first dose of AstraZeneca that we’ll be receiving Pfizer as our second dose. As long as it’s effective against Covid, I’ll take it. Comments are closed.
