All is well here despite the craziness. This week was our first week of being able to go outside for individual exercise/walks. After being inside for 50 days, being able to go walks is absolutely amazing On Monday we’ll begin phase 1 of 4 for coming out of quarantine. Small shops will open and restaurants will be able to seat people outside at up to 30% occupancy. We’ll still have the time slots for walking/exercise (6-10am & 8-11pm for ages 16-70, 10am-1pm & 5-8pm for 70 and up, and 1-5pm for kids 16 and under), but that’s not a bad thing. I’m really enjoying going for my early morning walks- there are barely any people out and the 40º air is much preferable to the 70/80s later in the day. I won’t be able to go to Alicante until the end of June when inter-regional travel is permitted again (if everything goes as planned).
May 25 Masks are now mandatory in public. But starting today we enter phase 2 of de-escalation. The walking times have been relaxed and we can now go out anytime for outdoor walks/exercise. It's so wonderful to be able to go outside. Small shops are opening and restaurants/bars can open up with up to 50% capacity. Most places have signs asking people to not stay more than 30min and others have an extensive disinfection protocol before entering. Thankfully people have been following the new protocols and wearing masks. Our cases are lowering slowly, hopefully we'll be able to freely travel here soon. Comments are closed.
