The end of March already, how time flies. We’ve been in and out of mini-lockdowns with different restrictions and new hopes as the vaccination programs really got going. I got my first dose of AstraZeneca this week and will get the next one in June. I missed a day of school with fever and general bad flu-like side effects from the shot, but it was all gone within 48 hours. The kids are already pinning for summer vacation, as are most of us teachers. ;)
I’ve been studying for the DELE C1, which I have the first week of April, and getting grad school applications put together for several different schools in Barcelona and Madrid. Other than that, it’s been a pretty quiet month. Inter-regional travel is still restricted and we still have the 10pm curfew, but I think they’re planning on ending most restrictions in May as the vaccines continue. There's even talk that they'll end the mandatory masks outside rule in June if vaccines keep progressing, though we'll still have to wear them in any public indoor space. I’m ready for this big Spanish test to be over and done so I don’t have to be stressing about it constantly. I took a prep course this month to better prepare me for the writing and speaking portions and I think I’ve got all I need to pass, but we’ll see. Wish me luck! Comments are closed.
