It’s been a while. Not much has happened in June. I stayed in Logroño to try and get my visa renewal stuff started, but then (since everything requires an appointment now) I found out my waiting was for not and it was just a waste of time. So, I just decided to leave for Alicante once inter-regional travel opened. All the regions in Spain have passed through the 4 phases of de-escalation (coming out of lockdown/quarantine) and we’re officially out of the state of emergency.
I was able to get down to see my family in Alicante thanks to some family friends who rented a car and drove up to get me, since the trains were really expensive and we didn’t think the buses were all that safe. It’s been wonderful to see my family and friends (all at outside restaurants just in case) since I haven’t seen them since Christmas. I'm just so grateful for the community my family and I have here in Alicante. Since my family and I are all in the higher risk group, we’ve been taking it easy. We've been watching films, playing games and doing puzzles. Thanks to the bazar close to the house, we all now have a plethora of cloth masks with pockets for filters. They fit well and we’ve been using pm2.5 filters that we change out as needed. Overall I think we’re in a pretty good spot considering the state of things. Comments are closed.
