What a great semester this has been. I have met so many wonderful people and learned so much about French culture. My French language skills have improved as well and I passed the B1 (the levels are A1-A2-B1-B2-C1-C2) French level exam! I'm definitely going to miss the city of Pau and all the friends I met there. I left Pau yesterday morning after finishing finals and saying goodbye to all my fellow students, and arrived in Vienne (outside of Lyon) last night. My flight back to the USA is in a few days, so I've got some time to do some sight-seeing in Lyon before I leave. I'm staying with family friends as I did at the beginning of the semester and enjoying their lovely old house and the new 2 month old addition to their family, Tamya. They are wonderful people and I am so thankful for their hospitality. Today I am relaxing and taking time to get myself organized, since this last week has been a little all over the place in terms of tests, packing, and other logistical stuff. I'm going to miss you, Pau! Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. :)

Oh, what bittersweet pictures. We fell in love with this place, as well. So many times recently I am reminded that, when a wondreful experience comes to an end, "Love heals the wounds it makes..." (Nora Jones' lyrics). Comments are closed.
