The DELE C1 is done! I went to Pamplona the first week of April to take the exam, where it was rainy and cold the whole trip. We had to have the windows open in the exam center due to Covid restrictions, and we were all wearing our coats xD.
The end of March already, how time flies. We’ve been in and out of mini-lockdowns with different restrictions and new hopes as the vaccination programs really got going. I got my first dose of AstraZeneca this week and will get the next one in June. I missed a day of school with fever and general bad flu-like side effects from the shot, but it was all gone within 48 hours.
I sit here after watching the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Madam Vice President Kamala Harris, and I'm cautiously happy. Tomorrow it'll be back to demanding accountability and action, but today, I'm celebrating.
Also, Amanda Gorman, the Poet Laureate who read at the inauguration, is absolutely amazing! 2021 has come in with a bang. December has come and gone, and with it a crazy year. May this next trip around the sun be much better than the last. May we be healthy and kick covid's butt! 2021 won't magically change anything, but it at least give us motivation and hope.
The election anxiety has finally lessened, with Biden having won. I'm celebrating that 45 is headed out of office and that now we'll have a president that we can at least work with. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris weren't my first choice, but I've supported them since the nomination. It'll be pretty awesome to say "Madam Vice President" as well. I've celebrated, and I'll celebrate again in January, but for now I know it's time to get back to work.
